Days 22&23: A weekend in Svetlogorsk

On Saturday Elena and Serge arrived. We had a super weekend talking, walking, seeing the sights of Svetlogorsk, eating and swimming. Contrary to the weather forecast, it stayed fine and the sun broke through.

There was a stunning exhibition from Southeast Asia in the ‘World of Oceans’ theatre, brought to life by having my own personal translators of the guided tour.

Clutching one last ice cream we boarded the train to Kaliningrad South station. Before heading to the airport, they made sure I had my tickets  for the train to  Mamonovo the next day. We said our goodbyes and I went to the Ibis for my final night in Kaliningrad.
