Day 5: Gdansk to the ferry
A leisurely start, a mission to find a post box and the lunch by the river before heading out to Westerplatte for the ferry to Sweden.
It was a bicycle path all the way and I arrived with 4 hours to spare. It was a jovial queue and I chatted to a Poles, Czechs, Ukrainians and Swedes about their journeys and mine. By booking too late I only had a reclining chair for the night so I steeled myself with the thought that it was better than a night on a plane. However, it was to be. A Ukrainian family from the queue sought me out to offer a bed in their cabin. And so I got to know Yulia, Volodymyr, Maria and Yarina and went to sleep listening to a Ukranian bedtime story. They were very kind.
