Day 18: Klaipeda to Nida
I got the 09.30 ferry to the Curonian spit, this time with a one way ticket. The giant cruise had long gone and had been replaced by an enormous yacht. It was another blue sky day and, with the cafe just opening, I was the first customer for breakfast.
The 50km to Nida were a sheer joy to ride. The sand dune spit is a UNESCO site and is beautiful. The Baltic side had an endless untouched beach with flowers covering the dunes.

Towards Nida the cycle track meandered to the lagoon side where there were reeds and forest along the shoreline.
And so to Nida; the last village into Lithuania before crossing the border to Kaliningrad.
