Corinne Leech
Nizhny Novograd to Moscow
I would not have thought that a 4 hour train journey could warrant a posting. But it does. After a morning coffee, at our now regular spot, we headed for train.
The train was a revelation to me. In our compartment was a shower and toilet as well as two comfy seats, a television, charger sockets. It was like a mini hotel room with the chairs converting to give 2 bunks with crisp white sheets. Just a pity that 4 hours didn’t warrant trying out them out.
Our fares, in total less than a saver return from Lancaster to London, included a meal in the restaurant car. It was a splendid way to zoom through the countryside and arrive in Moscow.
The first 9289 kilometres of my journey was complete. 3491 kilometres to go to Lancaster railway station.
